Wisdom Teeth Removal Services

Over the past several thousand years, the human jaw has considerably decreased in size, while the teeth have remained roughly the same. Due to this little glitch, a great number of people have no room in their mouths for the very last molar that erupts in puberty, called the ‘wisdom tooth.’ Most people will have their first wisdom teeth erupt when they reach ages 16 to 24. If there is inadequate room for a wisdom tooth to grow properly into the mouth, one of several things could happen. The wisdom tooth may remain impacted, meaning it resides dormant in the bone, where it could remain without causing trouble, or it may develop into a cyst or infection. If it erupts, it may push on the molar in front of it as it erupts, causing root resorption and the loss of the molar it grows into. It can decay adjacent teeth, cause rotations and tipping of adjacent teeth, and erupt in an uncomfortable position affecting biting. It may also only be able to “peek out” of the gum, because there is ...

Wisdom Teeth Removal Why How And When?

Wisdom Tooth Extraction Removal Most of the common men or women are not interested in getting their teeth removed unless there is some problem related to the teeth. Wisdom teeth are one such set of teeth that are removed when there is some problem in the teeth. While not opting for wisdom teeth removal unless it is required could be the viewpoint of the people, the doctors do recommend that the same be removed at an early age, even while these are not creating any problem. The logic for their removal in the age group of 20-25 years is that the jaw bones are not yet fully developed and that the wisdom teeth removal could be less painful a procedure. It was a significant victory, tarnished only by the Government's decision to reduce the cap to $700. Today, however, following an urgent discussion yesterday between ADA President Hugo Sachs and the Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt, which was precipitated by the decision of a cross section of Senators to oppose cuts made by the Australian Government to the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) cap, the Government has advised that it will be restoring the cap back to its original figure of $1000. The reduction to $700 would have led to more than 1 in 4 children who use the Scheme - around 250,000 children - facing the very real possibility of not having all their treatment needs met. With den...
